Knowledge Graph Conference 2026
May 04 - May 08
Meet Graphwise at The Knowledge Graph Conference 2026
Graphwise is excited to take part in the seventh edition of The Knowledge Graph Conference (KGC) 2026, May 4-8, 2026, hosted at the Cornell Tech Executive Education Center in New York City, with virtual attendance available worldwide.
The Knowledge Graph Conference is a global gathering for practitioners, researchers, and industry leaders working with knowledge graphs, semantic technologies, and data-driven AI. Over five days, attendees can take part in masterclasses, workshops, and expert-led sessions that combine thought leadership with hands-on, real-world applications.
Meet the Graphwise Team
Graphwise will be actively involved throughout the conference. We’ll be delivering presentations, hosting a hands-on workshop, and you’ll also be able to meet us at our booth during the event.
Our speaking sessions
May 6, 11:35 AM – 12:00 PM
Keynote From Differentiator to Necessity — The Semantic Backbone
Speaker: Atanas Kiryakov, President at Graphwise
Ontologies got trendy. Amid AI-driven change, one need is constant: capturing meaning and unlocking the value of enterprise information. What was once a differentiating capability is now foundational infrastructure. Drawing on a year of real-world deployments across banking, manufacturing, and infrastructure management, Atanas will cover: semantic backbones as knowledge hubs, metadata hubs, and shared world models for agentic AI; measurable business impact; the Graphwise Platform built on 20+ years of experience; and go-to-market opportunities for the community.
May 5, 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Workshop GraphRAG — Why, When and How? · Knowledge-Enhanced AI Systems
Speaker: Peio Popov, FSI Vertical Lead at Graphwise
A hands-on deep dive moving from the honest limitations of LLMs, vectors, and full-text search, through the theory of semantic layers, to a live implementation walkthrough with demos at every step. Part 1 covers the why: a head-to-head retrieval comparison, why your metadata matters more than your RAG variant, and how AI can accelerate building a semantic backbone. Part 2 is the hands-on how: implementation methodology from competency questions to deployment, quality pillars (completeness, accuracy, consistency, provenance), and a live demo of the full ingestion-to-validation pipeline including human-in-the-loop review.
