This Solution Architect position is within the team working on Graphwise’s highly specialized solutions, built on top of the company’s products to deliver state-of-the-art AI functionality and business value to our clients.
If you are interested in AI technology and innovation, then Graphwise is the right fit for you!
About the Role
As a Solution Architect at Graphwise, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative semantic technology solutions for our clients. You’ll be responsible for translating business strategies into technical visions, leading the architectural design process from concept to implementation, and ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll create architectural artifacts using modern approaches, guide technical decisions, and actively contribute to the codebase while mentoring team members.
The role requires balancing technical excellence with business pragmatism, as you’ll be collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and ensure solutions align with both client needs and Graphwise’s semantic technology expertise. You’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies, while helping shape the technical direction of complex enterprise projects.
This hands-on role combines technical leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence without authority, making it ideal for architects who enjoy being deeply involved in both high-level design and practical implementation.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Drive customer adoption and act as a trusted advisor: Work closely with clients to adopt our technologies and achieve measurable business outcomes. Build strong relationships, guide architectural decisions, and support technology adoption through best practices.
- Communicate architecture effectively: Create and present clear architectural artifacts (e.g., C4, Arc42) across multiple views, articulating decisions and trade-offs to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Bridge client needs with product evolution: Capture and structure client feedback, recurring challenges, and emerging use cases, and translate them into actionable input for the Product roadmap.
- Drive clients innovation: Help clients use AI and semantic technologies effectively, and create reusable tools, templates, and best practices to deliver solutions faster, reliably, and at scale.
- Ensure successful delivery through hands-on involvement: Contribute to implementation via coding, code reviews, and mentoring, while developing and evolving cloud-native artifacts (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform) to support scalable and repeatable deployments.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in Java and/or Python ecosystems and experience building distributed, microservices-based systems on cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
- Solid understanding of system design and architecture, including the ability to make pragmatic trade-offs around scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Experience with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
- Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, with the ability to break down complex problems into iterative, deliverable solutions
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to lead technical discussions, document solutions clearly, and engage both technical and business stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills, including mentoring engineers and influencing decisions across teams
- Experience with cloud-native and reusable deployment artifacts is a strong plus
- Experience with AI/ML technologies and MLOps practices is a plus
- Background in semantic technologies (RDF, SPARQL, OWL) and graph databases is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s is a plus)
What We Offer:
- Impact at scale: Your testing frameworks directly influence the reliability of products used by Fortune 500 companies and cutting-edge AI organizations
- Technical growth: Work with emerging technologies including knowledge graphs, semantic AI, and advanced testing paradigms
- Collaborative culture: Cross-functional teams with engineers, data scientists, and product experts
- Modern tech stack: Work with contemporary tools, cloud-native technologies, and DevOps practices
- Flexibility: Agile working environment with 2-week sprints and continuous feedback loops
- Competitive compensation: Attractive salary package with benefits
- Bulgaria-based with remote flexibility: Work from our Sofia or Ruse office with possibility of remote work days
Application and Hiring Process:
- Applications will be filtered based on the required skills – no response will be given
- Phone (online) screening interview by the HR department
- Online technical interview to assess the coding/design thinking skills
- Onsite final meeting with a job interview
