Agis Papantoniou

VP of Business Development, Cognizone

VP of Business Development at Cognizone, the semantic engineering firm he co-founded in 2015 and led as CEO until 2023. Agis holds a PhD in semantic technologies from the National Technical University of Athens and has spent more than two decades at the intersection of knowledge graphs, ontologies, and applied AI — most recently leading Cognizone's engagements with EU institutions, regulators, and enterprises building production-grade semantic systems. He combines hands-on practitioner experience with an academic root in the field, and has a particular interest in how the discipline of semantic engineering reshapes itself in the era of LLMs.
